A native macOS assistant I built and use on my Mac. Its command center brings together my agenda, reminders, focus sessions, local notes, and projects, with on-device natural-language commands.
Building products and companies that leave people better off.
From an idea to the details that make it work.
Dental technologyInvestigational chairside periodontal-measurement concept built around a bite-held mouthpiece and companion software. No hardware or clinical performance data exists; session timing, safety, and performance remain unvalidated design targets. The device is not cleared or approved by the FDA, and its premarket pathway remains under review. Alongside running the company, I build the public website and sample-data software demo.

AI meal planning around what is already in the fridge and pantry — photo-assisted inventory, personalized weekly plans, grocery lists for the gaps, guided cooking, and an in-app sous-chef. The native iOS app uses a Supabase backend; an Android client is in development.
Capital, composed — a pre-seed concept for treasury and investor reporting for family offices and private funds, with planned reconciled ledgers, LP statements, capital-call notices, and an immutable audit trail. Validating the market thesis.

Austin, Miami, and a few places in between.
Josh Strauss is a mission-driven builder and founder based in Austin, TX & Miami, FL. He is the co-founder & CEO of GumGauge and a sophomore at the University of Austin (UATX), shipping software end to end across native apps and private-capital fintech.
The reason behind all of it is simple: he wants to help people and leave the world better than he found it. That thread runs from nine years of youth human-rights advocacy with B’nai B’rith International, from delegations to the UN in Geneva and UNESCO in Paris to leading a youth mission to Colombia, through growing up working events for the family production studio, to the ventures he builds today as a sophomore at UATX, where he studies economics, politics, and history.
Getting there meant leaving Northeastern after one semester: a deliberate bet on an unaccredited school and the like-minded people in it, the kind who constantly and willingly challenge themselves to push the limits of what it means to be an active member of society.
Nine years of youth human-rights advocacy: delegations to the UN Human Rights Council, UNESCO in Paris, and the UN in Geneva; led the youth mission to Colombia and joined the mission to Bulgaria; organized a 160-image exhibit for BBI’s 180th anniversary.
Grew up working the family studio’s events — administrative and on-site support before and during productions, and later the studio’s website.
